2005 Reserve Chardonnay - Apricot, pear, cardamom, plumeria blossom, tangerine rind, pineapple-guava, all wrapped in a nice toasty note. Fermented on the skins (just like a red wine), & aged in barrel an outrageous 47 months, it offers a remarkably long creamy finish with a grand balance between bittersweet orange peel & bright acid.

2006 L'Enfant du Pape - Meaty, succulent & mouth watering…an appealing nose of chocolate-infused cherries, mole, roasted ancho chili, rosemary & with just a lusty touch of the kind of happy, earthy sweat one expects from an enfante du Pape. A Chateauneuf-du-Pape style blend of 27% Mourvedre, 37% Grenache, and 32.5% Syrah, & 3.5% Viognier.

Gold Label Pentimento – A hotrod, candy-apple red with dry plum, ambrosia melon, ripe Bing cherry & pomegranate, chocolate, violet & rose blossom strewn across wrinkled sheets. But, too, a beast in leather, the tantalizing hot juice from rare meat, with a smooth, silky, firm finish. Our proprietary blend, a marriage of youth & age, with various amounts of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, bitty touches of Zinfandel, Sangiovese, and L'Enfant du Pape - all from the 2004 to 2006 vintages - topped with a dollop of older Pentimento including wine going back to the 1998 vintage.

2006 Syrah - Brilliant carmine, like pomegranate jewels in your glass. Lustrous ollallieberry with a nose of violet blossoms, lilac, leather, & a cigar smoldering in the briars. Rosemary, pitch, clove & cinnamon bind the whole into a firm, full-bodied structure fraught with pleasure.

2005 Sangiovese - Dusty air stirred up by wildly dancing satyrs, redolent of aromatic roses rosemary...Chili/cherry filled dark chocolate with a great platter of fire roasted haunch of wild boar, unctuous & smoking with crimson juice running bright. Rather pagan. Vineyard: 100% McGourty Vineyard on Chimney Rock Road.

2006 Late Harvest Zinfandel - Scarlet, garnet & limpidly clear, a fine whack of alcohol infused with bright raspberry & chocolate spiked with crushed white pepper. There is a clear sense of candied lemon & orange peel with a whiff of mordacious menthol, maple-cherry & drunken figs soaked in Chambord. Bottled in 500 ml size bottles instead of 750ml - for safety’s sake.
